A lot of you may have eaten a chicken in the last day or two, so this post may seem a little bit strange, but today I am a little sad (as is Junior). Our pet chicken Goldie could not take the heat and she died today. We got her and another chicken about 3 years ago. I named them Maroon and Gold for ASU, but we called them Mary and Goldie. Mary died about 2 years ago, but Goldie lived on. We have since gotten other chickens, but they did not have the personality or friendliness that Goldie had. She was the only chicken who willingly let us pick her up and pet her. We will miss her. Here is a picture of me and Junior (and Ruby in my belly) from May of 2007.
